Everyone in life experiences things differently. Not one of us are the same. Rather it be the difference in education, profession, color, race,gender personality, or the family and friends you choose. Everyone has a different path they are meant to live. However, one thing though we do all have in common and can relate to, is stress. We all go thru it one way or another. No matter how much we may try to hide it, fight it, or even disguise it, stress will always come a knocking. That is why it is very important that you must consider, what ways avoiding stress is going to make your life more simplistic.That is why it is key to find out what works best for you. Here’s a few things to consider as you find your own path that works for you.
Rethink Your Thinking
Have you ever caught yourself getting upset about something? Where you keep dwelling on an issue and just can not find the ability to let it go? You find yourself becoming irrated or frustrated, and before you know it, you get in a negative state of mind, and when you get in this mood, just can’t get out of it. If you’ve experieced these feelings, its ok, I can totally relate. But….Now, question is, was it worth it? Was it worth all the stress and anxiety it put you thru? And on top of that, what was it that got you so upset? Was it in your control? Was it something you could even change?
Majority of the time though, this issue is something that is out of your control. Something you can not change. There’s a saying you may have heard of, where it states, “Why cry over spelt milk?” Really, Why though? It’s done, it’s over with, there’s nothing you change. Just let it go. As a good friend once told me “It is, what it is.” And you know, that’s so true. It’s all how you look at life. Perception is reality, and what you think, say and or do will become your reality over time rather you see it or not. So the question is, you need to ask yourself, is that bottle half empty or half full? That choice is yours…….
Finding Your Healthy Diet
Your diet can affect our everyday life. Rather you realize it or not, your diet has a huge impact on our body. In all honesty I never took that serious. I thought it was a gimmeck untill my boyfriend became extremely sick. To the point this man was bed ridden for months at a time. No doctors were even able to tell us why. One day I decided to try a different path and try a more naturalpathic route. Thankfully, we finally found an amazing DR. that recommended he take a food allergy test and go from there.
Ding, Ding, Ding, we found have a winner! After months of suffering, he finally had some answers. I couldn’t believe the results! Found out almost everything I was feeding him, which was recommeneded by the primary doctor, was making him extemely sick, since he was allergic to it. Unfortunately, when it comes to changing your diet, this isn’t something you can just change over night. It can actually take weeks before you are able to actually get that food out of your system. Now for him, it took about 6 weeks, but after knowing what to eat, he finally started to feel better in way he never felt before.
See, Your gut is the root to the rest of your body. Crazy, right? See what it does is it feeds the rest of your body determing not only how you feel, but also your health. So you want to make sure you are making smart choices when deciding what you want to eat. Look at it in a different way, instead of looking at it like a diet, look at it like a life style change. A change that will help you in a better way.
Since he was on such a restricted diet we we looked to see what options was out there. After some research, we decided to started a diet called Keto. If you never heard of it, I recommend you look it up, it’s pretty interesting. It’s actually used for those recovering from chemo, diabetes, and if your looking to get your health back on track. It’s a high fat, low carb diet. I’ll be honest with you, I’m 29 years young and have never stuck to a diet in my life until I got on this one. I’ve not only lost 40 lbs in 9 months, but my boyfriend has lost 70 lbs. The best thing of all, is we both see a difference in our health dramatically.
Freeing Your Mind Outdoors
I am an over thinker, I over think everything, double guessing myself, always wondering if I made the right decison. I feel my mind is non stop thinking, and I can just never get the damn thing to just shut off. However, once I hit that trail, its like a switch went off and makes my mind just shut off. I stop thinking about what I need to do or get done or what errands I have to run. It honesty doesnt matter what’s goin on, once I’m on the trail, a walk around work, or a even walk at the park. As long as I can get outside to enjoy the outdoor elements, its makes a huge difference.
I highly recommend, if you can try though, try and get out of the city. Away from the hussle an bussle. Where time actually slows down and you can enjoy it. Life is not easy and sometimes and it can definetly get overwhelming we’re you just need an escape. If you don’t believe me do your research and see all the wonderful people that have benefited just by getting off the couch and not letting stress control their lives.
Studies actually show that spending time in forests, hiking in mountains, and just being outside can lead to significant health benefits. Taking short walks outside can actually better your concentraion, increase alertness, creativity, reduce your stress levels and even be a mood booster. Think about it, by just being outdoors your not only are you getting exercise, but vitamin D at the same time.
Avoiding Stressful Situations
Ever been around someone who is always negative, see’s the worst in everything, and can never be happy? Ever been around someone who loves drama and for some reason everytime your with this person drama just seems to follow them? Or just hanging out with a certain someone, you begin to notice that you are more stressed out than having fun? Than these are the people or sitautions you want to re-access. Associating with people like this may be necessary at some times, but you do NOT need to feel obligated to fix them and allow it to take up all your time.
Now you may be thinking, wow thats pretty harsh, how can you be that way if they are truly your friends or family. Well, than you need to take these next few questions into consideration:
- If they were in your shoes, would they do the same for you?
- Is stressing over this going to make the situation or myself feel any better?
- Have you given advice to said person and advice has been ignored multiple times?
You are a product of your envirnoment. If you hang around negative people, who constantly complain about how life isnt far, eventually, maybe without you even realizing it at first, but you will become a negative thinker as well. It is not a matter of if, it’s just a matter of when will it happen. This is where you have to decide what path you will take.
Finding Your Healthy Balance
There’s times in your life where you have to realize and decide what you really what to focus your energy on. And this is differently one of them. Now, dont get me wrong, this isnt something that is just going to happen over night. Rather we want it to or not, we have to come to the realization that everything in life takes time no matter how impatient we may be. You must learn to be patient and understand that in life sometimes things dont always go exactly how you want them to go. And you know what, that’s ok too.
We were not put on this earth to be perfect. We all have flaws and live differernt life experiences. And thats what makes you the person you are. You are one of a kind and no one can change that, and this temporary issue will pass. Don’t let this stress overcome your life, where you stop living life for you. Take the time to really understand and find out what major stressors you have in your life, what steps you will take to change it, and understand this will not all change over night, but the 1st step to change it, is realizing what area you need to work on first.
